Orca Bay Mystery Quilt by Bonnie Hunter.

I changed my color selection 3 times already. I had to really think of the person that will be using this quilt. I decided on my youngest Daughter. Her favorite colors are brown, pink, and teal.  So time to get cracking.

So far I have made a dozen HGU. All of them are short a hair. So I am stopping and starting over. I checked my 1/4 in seam and it is good. This only leaves my cutting. Time to cut more strips!

  1. They look great. Can't you just stretch them, lol. I love brown in quilts, your daughter should be thrilled.

  2. Hi Aileen from your newest follower. I love the brown in your hourglass blocks - sounds like it will go great with your other chosen colours. Rhianon.

  3. I'm looking at some of the links posted on Bonnie's page and it's fun to see what others are doing and how they are progressing. You've done a great job so far. They are fiddly to get totally accurate, which is why I chickened out and made them bigger to trim down!!
    Love your header picture :)

  4. Yikes! That can be annoying...I often have the problem when sewing. The last bit to go through the machine has a mind of it's own.

  5. Hi Everyone. Happy Thanksgiving. The Turkey is in the oven and the grandbaby is still asleep. Heading for the sewing room to cut some fabric before those little fingers show themselves to me!
