Easy Street

Easy Street Monday Linky!

I finally got done with my Christmas presents. They are in the mail flying to Seattle and Upstate NY. My daughters read my blog so I can't post until the gifts arrive on Tuesday. They were great fun to make.

Cleaned my sewing area and the began my Easy Street Mystery. I have been looking forward to this mystery. I made Carri the Orca Bay quilt. Finished it in late September. She loves it and sleeps with it every night. All my girls have quilts. Even made king size quilt for my husband. Time for a quilt for myself!

Part one is complete. Part 2 -, I have all cut, but only sewed 30 blocks. Decided to try part 3 and have 20 units done. Easy Peasy so far!!!. My goal this week is to catch up by Friday.

Just wanted to add that I have been collecting B & W and W & B, lime green, purple and teal for 2 years with nothing in mind. Bonnie did blow my mine when she posted her color suggestions!...That is when I knew this quilt was definitely for me!

  1. I so pleased we are using the white with blacks, had mine for years and could never figure out where to use them.
This mystery is great fun, particularly taking the journey with so many nice quilters

  2. OMG! why do you want to tease us like that!! AND you are going to let your daughters open their gifts early? Or are you going to keep us in suspense until after Christmas lol.
Can't wait to see your mystery quilt I love the fabrics

  3. I too love the fact that Bonnie chose the colors she did. I think this will turn out beautiful. I'm a little behind the group, finished with step 1, half way through #2 and have not started any of #3 yet, but like you, hope I can catch up by Friday. We'll see.

  4. I cant wait to see how your quilt comes out mama! Btw...if u have black and white scraps left over u can always use it for something u make me down the road...**making my innocent kid face** lol...u know I love black and white (and rainbow ofcourse) thats what my apartment is decorated in...with the help of all the amazing things u have made for me over the years. I love having ur creations all around me. Thank you so much for each and every one. Love you! -- S

  5. Looking so pretty Aileen. Once the cutting is over, the chain piecing goes quickly. Good luck on your progress. Isn't it fun to work with fabrics you Love!

  6. Your patches look fantastic. Clue 4 is nearly here – woo hoo!
